Any chance you will get a nichia or ETA on other colors or metals?

The sst20 I received recently from Neal is fantastic!  No hint of green on any level that I can see. Perfect.

I’d still like to know in practical terms how much different the extra heat if the sst20 really matters over the xpl-hi.

Hi picked up the SST20 4000k and the XP-L Hi 5000k. I can tell you with a good cell there is a large difference in the heat generated with the SST20 being the hot one. But, I may have gotten lucky as I have no green in the output at low current, it does tend to yield a little yellow but I can live with it.

EDC rotation:
FW3A, SST20 4000k
FW3A, Nichia 4000k sw40 r9080 (favorite light!)
Emisar D4V2, SST20 4000k
Zebralight SC52w-L2
Zebralight SC62w

Ok - so on turbo on both — how many more seconds can you hold the xpl?  This sst20 is the nicest tint I’ve seen!

Nichia and WW/NW XPL-HI has been ordered as well as glow gaskets. ETA is early next week. Titanium pricing has not even been announced so we can't offer a pre-order yet.

Realistically that depends on what you set your max temperature to. But honestly they both heat up so fast the difference is negligible, maybe 4 seconds at most? They both output different max turbo levels anyways so it's not exactly a direct comparison.

I just got my FW3A SST20. It arrived only 4 days after I placed my order. I am so glad I ordered from Illum.com. It is obvious that each light is checked out, before it is sent out.

Inside the box with the light was a slip that states:
“Your FW3A has been temperature calibrated by Illumn for convenient out-of-the box use.”
I checked their calibration and my light was spot on. While I have learned to calibrate other Anduril lights, it was nice that Illumn already took the time to do this for me.
Thank you! My light is perfect. I love the high CRI SST20 tint, too.

Actually, I made a mistake. I rechecked my order date. It came in only 3 days, first class mail.

Calvin, thanks for making the FW3A available to buy directly from a USA vendor. Is there any plan to expand the choices on emitters, other than XP-L HI 1A and SST-20?

Nice! I spent the first decade or so of my life in 95035. We like to call it Smellpitas. That's very close to the warehouse!

I bought several times from Illumn and the shipping is the fastest I’ve ever seen but I also live in California. Excellent packaging and good responsive customer service! Thumbs Up

The prices are real good for these FW3A and FW3C. If I don’t already own them, I would buy from Illumn.com right away. I might still in the future.

Also glad to know Illumn stocks Molicels now! I’ll probably add some to my cart with next purchase. Mooch is rating them as the best all around 18650 and 21700 lithium ion cells on the market in his latest recommended list.

Yes I hope this trend continues. If you could be the US vendor for other popular BLF lights (like MtnE and Emisar) it would be a nice perk.

I think if FireFlies releases a new light you should try to stock it. They seem to be in need of a US vendor with a bit better after sales support.

I would say the BLF Lantern too but Sofirn seems to be pretty tied to Fulfillment by Amazon which is OK I suppose.

Emisar refused to sell to us, limited to one USA Distributor. FireFlies we're still concerned about quality control. We could pick up the Sofirn BLF Lantern but I have a feeling they're going to just sell direct, will attempt.

The Thrunite T1 is an amazing light with a nice regulated driver. I bought three of them already. Perfect for gift and modding. I plan to put one of those XHP70.2 on 16mm board from Kaidomain in there and maybe some quad E21A 9080 on VR16SP4.

Thanks for making these available. Hover, I wish you carried the aqua color, because several people on BLF have commented that Aqua will continue to glow significantly longer than the others, even though it may be a little less bright on onset than green, which is the brightest of all colors on turn on.

Typically, green lume is the brightest and longest lasting.

I just received a Carclo 10507 optic from illumn.com. I was surprised how easy it was to remove the original optic from the FW3A that I recently got also from illumn.com. There wasn’t the excess thermal paste holding the optic as with some of the lights from the earlier batch. Anyway, I love the less floody beam with the new optic.
There is a more recognizable hot spot but still some spill. It seems to have better throw with my stt40 4000k emitters.

Could you offer a production run of the fw3a with the 219B 4000K R9080 and flashed with the lower max amp custom anduril toykeeper made for the 219b. I’d pay a premium for that since I don’t flash my own drivers.
