Convoy S3 - which driver is this?

Hi there!

I am new to this forum and flashlights. Long story short: Bought a convoy S2+, got one with biscotti and got an error (stuck in some lowlight/moonlight only mode) and started searching for help/solutions. Ordered a new driver to change the faulty one and an additional overpriced Convoy S3 (from amazon) just for having something to play with while the drivers are shipped from China to Germany.

Now my problem, I assumed every convoy flashlight of this range comes with a driver that has at least 3/5 modes in 2 groups, but whatever I try I can’t change groups and looking through forums, reddit, gb, ali … I can’t find the driver that looks exactly like the one I got, so no instructions aswell.

Does anyone know this driver and if and HOW I could change groups? All I know is it is an 7135*6 and seems to have only 3 modes, low-middle-high.

Thanks for your help!

This might be the newer Biscotti driver, try this

My s2+ got a biscotti one, also it’s stuck for now I know how to program that one, and no, the S3 does not react to any of the biscotti instructions I found, sadly.

Try these instructions. Looks like it might only have 2 groups, one with 3 modes and a second with 5 modes (adds strobe and sos). Willing to bet you could flash this with biscotti if you know how.

been there, done that, doesn’t work :frowning: I assumed it got to have at least 2 groups 3/5 mode, but it seems do be 3 mode only :frowning:

Don’t want to start with flashing, as I got some convoy drivers with biscotti on the way to me to fix my s2+. I guess I will change the driver in this one too but wanted to know if I have to or if there is the chance I got a driver that will suite me.

If you take a look at the board, there are 3 spots where it looks like you could set a solder point (like the convoy drivers with the stars) but I am to afraid to just try it and frag my light.
