Can someone build a light for me?

Hey there,

Looking to get a specific setup made.

Looking for a smallish flashlight, maybe a s2 short body, with a green led for navigation at night.

Looking for something with relatively low output, maybe a .5/1/10/50 lumen split.

Any modders think they could help out? Shoot me a pm!

Don’t really have the time or skill set to get it done myself.

I’ve broken numerous cheap green/red flashlights in the past. There’s just nothing that fits the bill in a durable package.

Thanks!

I don’t have the time

But I would suggest a Jetbeam Jet-1 MK with current shunt set for lower current
can run NiMh or protected 14500

Your parts list could look something like this:
Driver
Host
18350 Tube
LED on MCPCB
18350 Battery

With this setup, you’d only have to solder the MCPCB to the Driver and put it all together.

If you are new to soldering or don’t have the equipment, this could be a easy/quick project to learn on.

I might be able to help actually build the thing, but things are crazy with work right now. Hopefully the above helps a little.

You might even ask Simon at Convoy how much to throw together something like what you want. He’s generally pretty flexible and can custom-tailor a light to what you want. He’s wonderful.

A green S2+ with shorty tube would be quite fitting.

Just ask if he has a green emitter to stick in there, and a driver that doesn’t push it too hard (even 2×7135 should be plenty at night). An older driver without the horrendous blink-on-low, ie, an older NANJG driver with the stars on ’em, can be configged to something like 3 steps of l/m/h.

Give him a holler.

Lightbringer’s suggestion sounds like a smart way to go.

I appreciate all the info and suggestions!
