Yeh. Some things fluoresce under plain ol’ blue light. Others under violet. Others only under 395nm and shorter, then 385nm and shorter, and best is 365nm which’ll get most things including the red strip on US hunnerts.
Remember – many cleaner residues will fluoresce due to whiteners and other ingredients. Not anywhere near everything that’s glowing under 395nm is going to be a biological.

Just keep telling yourself that. I’m sure all will be ok!
Has anyone opened the head on one yet? Is the MCPCB one large one with the leds on it or multiple small ones? Is part of the driver on the MCPCB? Just wondering about modding, would like to put a Nichia UV in it for lower frequency.
I received it a couple days ago, but haven’t had much time to use it.
I really like the white, it’s beautiful. I hope to get more lights with LH351D in the future. I had been wanting a light with both white and red, and now I have one. The red can get really bright. I would have preferred if the red had one lower level for four levels total, like the white, but the low is okay.
I like the size and the charging port cover seems to stay in place well. I didn’t notice the battery rattle until I tried to make it happen.
The UI works fairly well, but I find holding to change levels and a single click for off, like the SC31, more natural. I’m glad there is a shortcut to low.
Code MY9WWF8L is till working. Ordered one for my family living on the beach in Florida. During turtle season, they are only allowed to use red flashlights on the beach to avoid disturbing the turtles. They will love this light- my family, not the turtles
The code worked form me yesterday but I’m on the fence and cancelled the order. Changed my mind today and coupon code not working. Sorry, won’t pay full price because the battery life is not good; 26650 run-time is only on par with other flashlights using 16650.
##EDIT## I was wrong, see my update a few posts below
Maybe so but it’s still more than with the coupon and by the time you take battery life into account and replacing the 395nm LED with a proper 365nm LED it seems not worth it.
Dog gamut, you’re right! I was looking at run-times for the red LED’s which are of course much less per lumen due to visual sensitivity drop-off in the longer wavelengths! This light no doubt uses a synchronous buck-boost SEPIC chip from TI or something similar, or at least I hope it’s not buck-only.
And so I re-purchased the light and I want to get the 265nm version of the original LG LED from AliExpress but I’m not sure this is the 2W version as is required:
This looks to be the correct UV LED for modification to 365nm:
Part Number: LEUVA33W70RL00
Flux bins: RP4=2160mW – RP1=1625mW
FwdV bins: V1=3.3V – V6=4.3V http://led.lginnotek.com/
The LG has fairly low visible leakage (Luminus even better) so I shouldn’t need no ZWB2 filter after I bang it in. I hope someone figures out how to conjure the LED substrate out from behind the glass. My hotplate and hot air are ready!

…… call me absolutely SHOCKED when I turn the UV mode on in my bathroom, and kitchen! Do I need a cleaning service?
Man, I know what you mean. I can’t believe what I see. Even after a good mopping. YiKeS…
“That’s not quite what I’d call… a clean sweep.”

I struggle to hit the perfect triple-click for UV. Takes me a few tries. Sucks to get old and lose your dexterity. Sure like the light though.

Try quadclick for lockout…

Did it but ya sure gotta be fast. Missed the first few times. Got to unlock the first time though.

Yeh, I’d just TCLO it if needed.

$33.99 now with NO coupon!

I just received this wonderful little jewel. I’ve never had anything to equal its versatility…. Love it.
I hear somebody complaining about the runtime. Or is that just to justify not getting one? LOL…I say get one. You won’t be sorry. Everything is a trade off. I really don’t see any negatives as to run times. What a little gem !
From my owners manual: Runtimes.
Edited to add: Dual Red and white firing Strobe. KOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL!
Can’t find anything not to like.

Hopefully 2W version:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33061675321.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0...
But the above is only rated 1.75W so this may be a better sub for heavy useage:
SST-10-UV-A130-E(F)365-00
https://luminus.com
And I see the correct one at:

Y’know, all this time, I still haven’t even looked at the instructions/manual??
