Haven't tried swapping the emitter so far, but that thermal glue doesn't look so strong. It's more like an old solidified thermal paste and it kinda chips like a very hard and old piece of cheese.

20mm indeed, just like your regular C8. Also there’s no thermal paste, but some white thermal glue.. (and the 2 screws holding the MCPCB)

Thank you

The white thermal paste/ glue is similar to what Convoy used for their S2/ S2+ lights.

I’m sorry, but I already ordered myself from a Russian contractor, they’ve already delivered it. I take pleasure. SST-40 for $ 20.

STT40 revised to $25, so that buyers get free shipping for their light. For those who paid shipping earlier, you will get a refund for shipping fee from Neal soon.

Mine comes with S/S (@17.4g). Please note that there is a faint magnetic attraction for their stainless steel grade.

One more question Freeme. Does the boost driver in the XHP35 version allow to use turbo with almost depleted battery? Is there any additional info on both drivers?

Yes, please use only 21700 with OEM wrapper. Keep within 21.1mm if possible. LISHEN 21700 blue cannot fit.

Unfortunately, i did not order XHP35 version. Cannot answer your question. There should be stepdown feature in firmware.

Manufacturer specified SST40 version is temperature controlled:

Stepdown from 7A to 4A when temperature reaches @±60°C. Once temp drops under  @±50°C, output will increase to 7A. (To be verified).

XHP50.2 figures doesn't seems to be right. I asked Neal not to stock up first.

MARCH XHP50.2 - Turbo Activated.

Full Runtime graph to be presented at a later date.

©freemex1thedeals.com

Stepdown to 67.3% after C8 reaches 50°C (53°C exterior). Output increased to 80% after C8 is forced to cool down to 40°C (±42°C exterior).

Fluctuation between 37-73s period was caused by my IR thermometer measurement. Please ignore.

Test was aborted at 139s as value is almost constant.

Hi what exactly is the SST40 color temp? Is it 5000k or the 5700 version?
