Please help me find or build a floody 5000K+ high CRI light

Hey guys, I hope you can help me out finding a light for a friend of mine. We're looking for a 1x18650 light, 5000K minimum (4000K is too warm), high CRI (preferably >90) with a floody beam pattern. I already know about the zebra light SC600Fd, but I'm looking for something more affordable.

I can solder LEDs if I have to, so I could replace LEDs in something like the FW3A, but where to find 5000K 90 CRI LEDs that can accept a somewhat high current?

Thanks for your suggestions!

Yeah, for floody go with a TIR lens, not reflector.

Easiest solution? Convoy S2+ with your choice of driver and UI, and get the TIR lens of your choice (60° to 90° to even 120°) and stick one of the ’351s in there.

Pill unscrews right out, pop out the reflector, pop in the TIR lens, replace the LED on the pill, screw in the pill, pretty much done.

Keep in mind, though, that the floodier and wider the angle, the more “spread out” the light becomes and doesn’t look as bright as a more concentrated beam.

Or just get a SK98 zoomie and go swap-crazy. Nice perfectly even blanket of light from an aspheric lens…

I think this will fit on fw3a.
