UK instagrammers? Lumintop Discount codes

Guys, to be up front about this I am not benefitting in any way. I got a lumintop tool AA for £1 though……

I have an instagram account @Dustyedc and Lumintop basically messaged me asking would i like to review a Lumintop Tool AA flashlight off amazon UK at £16.99. I said I would be interested because i’ve had a couple of other lumintops and found them good value for money. I asked (nicely) if there were any discount codes available, thinking I’d get a fiver off or something. So, I ended up with a code which got me the light for £1. At that point he asked would I mind leaving a review, didn’t ask for a favourable review, just a review.

Then he asked if I knew of anyone else on instagram who would want a code, I can’t say it’s for the same light, but long story short if you are on Instagram, interested in lights, UK based and want a lumintop discount code for Amazon, drop Lumintop_Flashlight a DM and mention Dustyedc and they will be happy to give you a code. I think they has 5 codes per day available until next week. Follow me too if you wish, I’m happy to follow back, or don’t, I don’t mind at all.

I repeat, I don’t get anything for this. I’ve ordered my light and can provide screenshots of the conversation to anyone who has a problem with it. Can also provide screen shots of the amazon price for anyone who doesn’t believe me. A few guys from EDC cooperative on FB have been in touch and got a code too.

If nothing else you may get a TOOL AA for a quid, how bad can it possibly be?

Best regards to all.

PBNinja.

so the review is supposed to be on IG, not here or youtube?
Nice idea for establishing some social clout. I always wondered whether there are large scale flashlight accounts on IG.

As far as I know they would like a review on Amazon, which takes all of 2 minutes but anywhere you feel like reviewing it I’m sure they’d be ok with.

Olight uk publicly said it was a dodgy business practice against amazon regulations however I hasten to point out Lumintop never demanded, or tried to sway opinion in anyway.

At the end of the day, I’ll not be following up to ask if anyone actually did a review :sunglasses: , but if i can say I helped some people get a half decent light for a quid, job done

I review items all the item I bought elsewhere (amazon, forums, …) so I don’t see a problem with it as long as the review is honest.

I find this step innovative and interesting and hope that a few UK IGers will PM Lumintop and review the light on IG, Amazon or here!

Hiya Dusty! Small world, Lumintop have approached me on IG too with the same offer. I have tagged Lumintop a few times with photos of my BLF GT so maybe they found us via that.

I’m already a Lumintop fan, I like their lights and really like how they have worked with the community here at BLF to bring some of the most cutting edge designs to market.

Dusty, maybe put a link to your IG account in your sig line for people to click and follow

Cheers for the heads up ive added you @Dustyedc
I dont mind doing a review as long as it is 100% honest and you let people know you got the item at a reduced rate.
Thanks for the post.

Hiya Essexman, yes I gave them your instagram, i hope you don’t mind.

Good idea on the link, I never thought of that!

Chat soon, hope you and family are well!

Thanks for the add, i’ll follow back when I get back home from work.
Fully agree, reviews which are transparent are fine by me.

Totally agree with you there, Lumintop only asked for a “review”, they didn’t ask for a positive only review, which makes me think they know they have good products and hence will get good reviews.

I liked their approach, unlike some other brands and online shops …cough banggood cough who in the past have been accused of suppressing negative reviews.

Edit : Also now following you on IG, some great photos you have there.

Ah thanks matey, sure that was fine, better than some of the other DMs I get on IG !! Who knew there was so many Russian single ladies looking for love, and so poor they can’t afford many clothes as most of their photos they seem short of anything to wear.

Yes, all well thanks, I’ll catch up with you over the weekend via DM on IG.

Feel free to give them my number……poor things……

Hilarious! I have tons of these messages. So does every guy on IG get these DMs and friend requests all day long? This must be some sophisticated bot network.

Wait , what! you mean it’s not just me, ah you’ve killed my self confidence now.

Joking aside, I just report and block all of them. Not had many for a while now. More annoying are the real people who DM me asking for free stuff, asking for me to sponsor their airsoft team, asking to be a brand ambassador (what ever that is), asking for free stuff as they want to buy to sell in their non existent online shop.

That all sounds very negative, which is traded off by all the good I see on IG. I have made contact with some wonderful people who have advised me and helped me no end. I’ve seen thousands of pounds raised earlier this year for the family of a well known UK knife maker who tragically died leaving a wife and young children.

If people DM me with genuine questions then I’m happy to help. I’m currently back and forth via DM with a Japanese lady helping her learn how to make a dog leash.

So who got themselves a code and for what light?

My Tool AA should be arriving tomorrow from Amazon and I’m looking forward to it more than I should be for a light at a quid……

Got mine today. However Amazon will not let me leave a review. Says there’s a problem.

I think that’s more of an amazon glitch than anything, I had the same but just kept trying periodically.

My review took approx. 4 days to appear. Seems they review the reviews?

Mine was possible a little bit quicker but yes, I think they review them for external links people put in pimping their own businesses selling similar products for less or products which are compatible but not on Amazon.
