This was $12.99 on special so what the heck!
A quickie review:
Ir comes with both an 18650 battery and tube and an 18350 battery and tube.
Tried it first with the shorter battery and tube.
It has a STRANGE (to me) UI
To turn it on, you have to hold the side button for approx 3 seconds. It then comes on high. If you click it goes to med, then low, then SOS type strobe.
HOWEVER, if you stay on a setting for 10 seconds or more, one click shuts it off!
Two clicks gives a momentary strobe.
Three clicks holds on strobe!
The 18650 battery that was included did not work at all. I got one brief flash and nothing. Tried the battery in an Astrolux FT03 - went on, when I hit turbo it went off and would not come back on.
Put in a Samsung, light works fine.
So it came with a bad battery. I have it on my tester now. It did show almost fully charged, running the test. It may work in an older surefire type light with the older LED. Or not. Does not work in the light it was supplied with.
The light is rated at 1500 lumens. Doubtful, maybe 1000. Maybe. It does appear to step down fairly quick, and does get hot.,
Overall not bad for $12.99 and it does have internal charging. Probably best as a pocket light with the short tube and battery. Output is not even close to an FW3 or Fireflies E01 running the same 18650.
Thanks for the review, that sounds like a light with some design problems.
But there is no picture and the link does not work (too long links are chopped off by the editor). So now I have no clue what light this review is about
Let’s start ?
The first time I write such a lowly review …
Outwardly, everything is beautiful and acceptable, but a cold, cheap light immediately sets in a negative mood.
And here is the management. management. Interface, This is just a brain explosion.
Psychiatric hospital away!
What for ? Truly, the creativity of Chinese engineers is sometimes simply perplexing ….
It was cheaper to add some money and buy a more decent Astrolux S41,42,43 ….
From the pros:
the flashlight is equipped with an 18350 battery, I don’t know the capacity yet, put it to the test …
P.S. When charged with a current of 500 mah, the total battery capacity was 890 mah .
Production of the case at the highest level.
The driver at maximum mode when turned on pulls from Samsung INR18650-30K - 3.5 A.
But …
The star apparently sits on the carcass without attachment, scrolls, at the slightest touch of the bezel.
The light of the diodes is cold to blue, 6000K no less …
Unstoppable strobe SOS just kills the picky flashlight collector …
Modes: to turn it on, hold down the power button for 3-4 seconds. To turn off, you have to go through the high-medium-low-strobe modes …
You will have to order a driver for S9 from Simon Mao, it is 17 mm in diameter.
In short, as the great Russian poet Pushkin wrote:
Thank you for the review! Good to know that this flashlight is not worth buying. You should try to put some thermal paste underneath the PCB or it will kill your leds quickly.
I almost completely disassembled the flashlight, did not begin to pull out the driver, there is an opportunity to no longer assemble it, since the button is pressed out, and the control wires are very short and thin …
Thermal grease was present. But the pill is threaded and not tightly twisted. I had to drill two holes so that I could twist ….
Without regret, he deleted the Cree XP-G2 installed by the manufacturer, replacing it with Nichia 219CT D 260 from Hank. Color rendition immediately began to play with other colors …
I see the pictures, and they look good. Nice colors. Thanks for the reviews. It is a cheap light, not good quality, but really cheap. We are spoiled, in a good way.
