My wife gave me a Kindle for Christmas, and my daughter sent me The Hunger Game, which I had never heard of.

After muddling through about 40 pages of the book, I had no clue what it was about or where it was going, and a strong feeling it was a 'chick book' with a message. I was not excited about finishing the book.

And then, about 50 pages in, it just sort of took off. I was hooked, and finished it the next night, and I'm still thinking about it. Think Rambo, First Blood, but Rambo is a 16 year old girl. Yeah, its a nice action thriller.

Found out the movie is coming out this spring, should be good. I have already purchased the 2nd book in the series, it is starting off strong.

I love my Kindle...I use it everyday, best invention for me, they are so great.

Such a nice clear screen and the price was very reasonable.

Yeah, that screen has it's uses for sure. Troop, glad you were a trooper and kept reading. Maybe I should start reading fiction again =P

i thought it was just a chick book too. i just might pick it up now. thanks for the suggestion.

Finished the 2nd book in the series, it was okay...sort of more of the same as the first book. I'll probably buy the 3rd one just to get a sense of closure.

Interview with Jennifer Lawrence who will be playing Katniss... perfect cast if I ever saw one.. that attitude, love it... telling the reporter essentially that she hates the press... priceless
