With multitools more than any other piece of EDC gear IMO, what’s “perfect” is really subjective and more based on one’s own life than anything scientifically repeatable. Some people absolutely have to have pliers because the life they live has them in situations where they need to use pliers all the time, and the same logic applies for every other tool. Some people have different lifestyles that don’t require pliers, and so on. For me, the Victorinox Rambler is just so good and perfect for what I need a multitool for. But other people may find the Rambler woefully inadequate for their lifestyles, and that’s perfectly valid. You mention a rope cutter and saw, and in the last 3+ years I’ve been carrying my Rambler 7 days a week, I’ve never once come across a situation where I felt having either tool would help me out, but by the same token you’ll find people who would need those tools every day. It’s just so subjective. It’s honestly probably easier to either mod your own or commission a custom than it would be to try and crowdsource a design.

Totally agree with you. OP describes ideal EDC knife for me, others may prefer with pliers. I think fully sized multitool knifes are too big to carry on daily basis. I will also try this Folding knife with big scissor

I like the Leatherman Squirt PS4, but it's not cheap.

Take a look at the SOG Crosscut. I love mine. SOG Crosscut

I won’t buy Squirt as it looks more unsafe to use, and Micra has tools that fit me better.

I don't know about the S4, as I don't own it, but the PS4 is perfectly safe.

I have this and really like it . I don’t like to carry the full size either . That Roxon , is comfortable to me . The scissors are tuff and sharp .

Leatherman Squirt PS4 is a great compact multitool. If you want a bit bigger tool, 2.5 cm longer and some thicker, then Leatherman Juice S2 is a good choice. It has no springed pliers though. Both these models have Pliers, wire cutter and small scissors.
