Hello, new here but have seen the light many moons ago

Hello all,

I have probably spent many years lurking on both BLF and CPF. I started with Surefire lights since 2003 then branched out to different makes, models, mods… Also other avenues of EDC… carry. My wallet was incinerated long ago. I decided to step out of the shadows because I am really liking the community builds, most recently the FW3A. But, I have also had a bit of problems trying to get in contact with Neal from Neal’s Gadgets. The FW3A is awesome but one extra battery was never shipped and another item is effectively broken. I sent an email to him about it and he responded once. After I sent him evidence of the broken item he has yet to respond. This was about 3 weeks ago. Does anyone know of a better way to contact Neal? Does he come here often? I don’t want to open a Paypal dispute since it seems like everyone has nothing but good things to say about him here.

Thanks.

Have a nice time here, Wendy'sSass!

Sometimes it's tough to get a hold of Neal.

I wish you good luck in trying to get a reply.

Although Neal is an honest guy, if you cannot resolve this in an amount of time you deem reasonable, a PayPal dispute might be your answer.

Hello Wendy’sSass, welcome to BLF.
Regarding Neal, unfortunately, I can not really help you further. My orders and purchases have been without any problems so far. Technical problems with the FW3A, I’ve read here more often.
Hope you find a good solution with Neal. Have fun here in the forum.

Sometimes email was slow for me, but he responded to my PM’s fairly reliably. I am waiting on a response to a question I asked a few weeks ago as well, so he might be in the middle of something. My question was not super urgent, so it may not be high on his list. I have heard of others having good luck with Facebook Messenger (on his site). In my case, he has usually been slow to respond, but does get to it eventually. By most accounts, he does seem to actually care about making things right.

I know this won’t help this time, but if you are in the US and prefer the type of customer service we typically see in stores over here, check out Illumn.com for future purchases. They are in California so you avoid the “slow boat” from China and the language barrier issues. I get all my cells from them, and they carry the FW3A at a reasonable price.
