Nitecore UMS4 problem

I just got a UMS4 a couple days ago and I don’t think it is working correctly. If I put in one or two cells, it behaves normally. If I put in 3 or 4 cells the screen will come on for a second or two then go off, then come back on start to show the charge status then go back off, repeat.
Anyone experience this? I’ve charged two 18650’s and it worked fine. One 26650 charged fine. Put in 2 eneloops and it works fine. 3 Eneloops and it constantly reboots or whatever it is doing. Doesn’t seem to matter which bays are used, just if there are more than two batteries in there.
Really disappointed because this charger wasn’t cheap.

I’m going to get my money back. Any suggestions for a new charger? I want a “set it and forget it” type charger that can handle li-ion biggies like 21700’s but also Ni-MH/Ni-Cd batteries like Eneloops.

How about these:

Miboxer C4-12 (new upgraded 2-button model)
Miboxer C8
Lii-500S

Does that charger come with a wall adapter? If not, which one are you using?

Thanks for your help, it was because I had it plugged into the built in usb port on a surge protector. Just didn’t think about it only outputting a low amperage. Using an iPad adapter now and it works fine with four AA eneloops charging. The question is now - is that iPad adapter sufficient?

The USM was designed to use ‘QC’ 3A capable USB chargers to get the full output. You find then on eBay, Amazon, or Aliexpress and Banggood. You could use those ‘rapid’ chargers for cell phones with 9 watts output. A 5 watt (5v, 1A) charger won’t work that well. Your iPad charger is rated at 2.1A I believe so it’s adequate, but won’t get you the highest output.
