Why is a complete torch cheaper than a host?

Hi all just wondering why it is that i can order a complete L2 for less than an L2 host

Host L2

Also L2 host

Complete L2 with XPL HI

They are from different stores! I guess that may explain some things…

Yeah. It’s AliExpress, so that “cheaper” store might even be selling fakes. The other AliExpress store is the official Convoy store, and Banggood is official Convoy retailer as well, I think.

Ah so the other one is probably a knock off or a B grade or something, Ok so who ships quicker Banggood or Mr convoy?

Honestly, when it comes to Convoy lights, forget about “the fastest” shipping. Bet on quality!
For that reason, the AliExpress store is the best! Simon Mao, the owner and representative and “all around Convoy person” allows you to change things in the order if you want to, so you can customize your light (when possible).

It normally takes 3/4 days to ship the packs, sometimes faster.

But believe, it will be better to buy from Convoy, any flaw will be solved faster, and easier!

Also, and despite this is not a thing I use much, you can tell Simon (through the messaging system in AliExpress) that you are a BLF member and that you would like to have the BLF discount, so that he can adjust the price before you pay!

I’ve only been on this forum 5 minutes and im already on my third flashlight order along with a bag load of emitters and drivers

Thanks for the advice i will drop him a message

Don't forget the batteries.

The vast majority of people buy complete lights.
So the standard routing in the factory is layed out in order to manufacture complete lights.
Any exception is a disturbance of the standard routing. More mistakes are made making specials.

As a rule of thumb: an exception is (almost) always more expensive to make than the standard.

Even if the exception is fabricated with (less of) the same components.
Especially if these components are mass made and cost next to nothing.
