"zero band" headlamps?

i found this light and it seems perfect but before i purchase i was wondering if there were any better options?
“NSP-4608BC Dual-Light™ Headlamp w/Hard Hat Clip & Mount”
https://www.baycoproducts.com/product/zero-band-headlamps/item/nsp-4608bc?category_id=1085

i work around high heat that the straps will definitely melt if i get too close, plus i cant risk it falling off.
the cheaper the better but of course regulated is preferred
i would prefer it have flood and spot options to eliminate the need to carry a spot flashlight in my pocket.
the longer the runtime the better but i also could use higher lumen for when i need spot light
battery options would prefer aaa,aa, or 18650 as i have those and chargers. anything else i would have to buy which isnt out of the question but would add expense.

thanks

First I’m hearing of any such thing, but it sounds interesting.

Make sure that light isn’t in a plastic case or could melt in the heat, either.

Armytek makes a helmet mount for their right-angle lights.

I’ve never used one, but perhaps it’ll fit other brands/models.

that looks cool if it stays tight

I have seen some LED lights that clip onto the brim of a ball cap, but they’re usually cheap plastic things with weak output.

First of all, that sounds contradictory, since if you will come too close, not only the headstrap, but you will probably have heat issues as well.

Second, it seems that the one you mentioned is mounted with adhesive tape on the hard hat.
Officially, you may not apply stickers on your helmet helmet because adhesives accelerate the aging process of the material and the official due date of the helmet cannot be guaranteed anymore.

I would just buy a spare headstrap, cut off the elastic and drill 2 holes through the silicon holder plus the hard hat and rivet or screw it to your hard hat.

Third, you shouldn’t follow my advice since drilling through your hard hat will result in an adjustment of your hard hat, where the integrity is affected.
In the unlikely event of really needing your hard hat, it might affect injury, legal stuff and possibility of loss of insurance and so on…

you could be right about the heat affecting the light, but i really only risk the top of my hat being burnt, not the brim. if the brim would be in danger i wouldnt even consider a headlamp?

i may not apply stickers to my helmet? you have no idea where i work or what the rules are lol. it isnt construction and i dont think its a real hardhat like construction workers wear. its more of an upgraded bump cap

i may be able drill and get away with it but id rather not

Howbow this? Take a look at the Boruit RJ02 (Amazon), where the light’s held in place with 2 rubber loops, on a 1-piece “plate”. If you can fudge something like that, with loops of the right diameter, you could hold whatever light you want. Then just mount the plate to the hat… somehow. Screws, epoxy, JB-Weld, whatever.
