I thought the USB port flap coming out was a definite possibility when I got my LT. Hopefully Sofirn will make them available for sale when they inevitability get lost.

I lost mine 2nd time out. It’s my hope they’ll offer The switch cover as well, just from experience I know I’ll need a few and possibly an o-ring or two. Oh and if ever offered I’d buy an extra shade or two.

I Do Like this lamp though. Other than these somewhat minor details the thing is built like a tank and runs for days.

Mine just arrived 30 minutes ago. Ordered 17 October after receiving Private Message with Group Buy Code from Sofirn. Man, I love this lantern! Thank you to DBSAR, Lexel, ToyKeeper and everyone who had a hand in the design, creation, programming and execution! The Anduril UI seems very intuitive after a couple of tries. I thought that the lantern would be bigger, I’m glad its not! Love it! I hope everyone that wants one gets one!

Best.

Thanks for the reply, what store address? Bit of a newb on the subject. Any help appreciated. I bought it through eBay. I did send a message there.

I have a broken port cover too.

I’m pretty good at keeping care of things though so I’ll see how we go but this appears to be a QC issue for future batches.

Worse things happen at sea, I’m delighted with the LT1 in eGood work very way.

I’m waiting on my collapsible bowl being delivered (AliExpress), I think that will make a huge difference to the LT1s practicality.

The store you used to buy it… Amazon, AE, eBay or PM Barry or Sofirn thru BLF.

I hope this USB flap breakage doesn’t happen with the one I’ve bought. It’s going to be a gift, and that would be embarrassing. Tired

We have mentioned the issue about the USB-C cover flap, with some having them break or loose them, hopefully they can rectify the problem with them breaking.

When I charge my LT I pull the cover off a bit and then rotate it out of the way in order to plug in the connector rather than pulling it up and out of the way. I have no evidence to back it up but my feeling is that it places less stress on the the part that attaches to the LT.

Thanks for the help guys. I just sent a message to Barry/Sofirn as MtnDon had suggested and he got back very promptly to send out a couple of spares, fantastic service.

I have several of the first 500 reserved… yet still haven’t been able to order a single unit. Hopefully all of us who have followed this project from the beginning will have a chance to receive all the lanterns we’ve preordered.

They are somewhere around 13 hours ahead of EST.

Expect that they’ll send you email while you’re sleeping and you’ll reply while they’re sleeping.

Same for me, which is why I didn’t make it onto the first order.

How long until they responded to you and provided a code that would also work for a lantern + batteries code?

Same feeling here. I rotate it 180°

When was this?
Have you reached out to Lan Lee yet for a resolution?

I responded to Lan Lee’s initial private message (as the Sofirn user) as per the instructions and said I need the code for LT1 + batteries (responded twice). No response. I will now send a new private message.

Part of your question is missing.

If you’re asking what Sofirn supplies, they’re button tops.

If you’re asking what will work in an LT1, the answer is button tops, but also the ‘extended flat top’ Sanyo GAs. Standard flat tops and flat tops where the positive contact is kind’a tall and comes close to the insulating wrap are a complete No-Go.

I work in IT, and I feel this so much. Having a day of that today, and this comment gave me a smile.

I appreciate that you answered the two most obvious questions they could have been asking, and that you were pretty thorough. This general attitude of helpfulness is part of the reason why I like this community so much.

I would add that a search (and probably the OP) would have also yielded the answers with only a little effort. Everyone should try to find the answer first, then ask after they are unable to find the answer (often, the answers can be found quicker by searching anyway).

I’m thinking the OP needs to be updated to note that batch 2 is now shipping? At least I think that’s true based on this post.
