Cleqee P1040 Banana to Crocodile test lead (mini review)

I am refreshing my test leads. I’ve ordered an assortment from various vendors.

The Cleqee P1040 set is a pair of 1M long banana to crocodile clip test leads. Overall feel and appearance is very good. The leads are 4mm silicon with a claimed 50 strands of 0.15mm wire inside. They are rated to 15A and 1000V. I wouldn’t use them anywhere near 1kV. 15A is perhaps a bit much too. The springs are quite strong.

I paid £5.74 from eBay UK seller atelecs with 2 day delivery. Direct from Cleqee they are $3.18 with 30-50 day delivery. $3.18 is a bargain. £5.74 puts them in the Pomona Electronics price band.

A check-test with my ZT102 showed 0.3Ω less resistance than the leads that came with the meter. I’d need a 4-wire ohms meter to accurately measure the resistance.

I’m not sure how to rate them against Pomona. Ask me in 10 years.

Thanks for the review!

I’ve only recently bought some cheap leads from banggood, else I’d be ordering a set of these. It’s got to the point where I no longer trust reviews on Amazon/banggood/etc
