Could be, but the first thing I do when I get a new light is take it apart anyway, so this is sort of a bonus. :D

+1, wish this was an option with all lights.

I’ve seen those and don’t care for them, the streamlight clips just seems like it would scratch the hell out of the light. Don’t want that.

Mine came with a cell.
Whether they will continue to ship with cell in the future is anyone’s guess.

This is such a killer deal because you are getting 2 complete LED/pill/driver assemblies as well as the neat tools.
Going to get together with my oldest Grandson and assemble it with him so he can learn what makes a modern LED flashlight tick.

Also have a Briggs & Stratton 5hp mini bike engine that we are going to dis assemble and rebuild.
Kid’s need to learn what makes an engine go so they can have more info when the car makes a strange noise.

Thanks McLight for posting about this light.
Had to add a 2 to get the code to work.
It’s a My First Flashlight Moders Edition .
Not sure how deep I’ll go.

Mine landed today. Per tracking it arrived in the US on the 13th, so waiting an additional 10 days from that point was a little annoying, but not Lumintop’s fault.

Look forward to assembling it later with my kids. Thumbs Up

Received mine yesterday and me and my youngest(11) daughter put it together this morning. She loved it so much I just ordered another for her birthday in February.

Managed to loose the phosphor on the nichia led.

Fun experience though and looks like a decent quality battery came with the kit.

Mine is in the mailbox at home. We have had temps in the 20 degree F range while gone. Will the battery still be good?

Well I ordered the grey one(only one that was available). Received the order confirmation and everything but this morning received an email from lumintop that it was out of stock. They did say all three colors should be back in stock mid December. I was given the choice for them to refund or just ship when available, I told them to just ship mine then.

It will be fine. However, do not charge a battery that is below 0° C (32° F). I’d also be cautious about high discharges while it’s cold, but that’s not as much of a concern.

I know… I know… still…the tin is very classy….specially as gifts….their is just something about giving/getting a gift in a Tin at Christmas time…even after the gift is gone the Tin lives on… as a storage container or something…I have way too many cardboard boxes, if you get my drift Big Smile

Hey thanks for the heads up! Just wondering how you order the grey or white? The “cart” button is greyed out.

Sh**! Lumintop wants to change the rules of the deal now.

I hate when the rules are changed after the deal is closed!

He sends me an email… “We ship the order and it was stuck and return due to a battery is included and the package oversize.” “So we kindly ask you can pay an extra $8 to cover the shipping cost?”
I am very pissed about their behavior, I wait to calm down to make a decision and send them a kindly answer…

I hope it reflects what I mean… sometimes the ggl translator changes the meaning of things.

Please explain Dealchanges? I ordered 2 pcs, and 1 is after 2 days shipped, 1 in backorder. I got no email with any changes of the deal.. maybe ggl translate tricky.. Big Smile

When I bought (and paid) it was free shipping.
It was “shipped” and now Lumintop wants to charge me shipping fees ($8) because “battery is included and the package oversize”.

I am going to disconnect from BLF until I make the decision because I entered this thread and I got even more pissed off.

I had finally made the decision …
I was going to pay them the $8 they asked me for “free shipping” but…

d_t_a wrote:
… Battery is not included in the package received — Lumintop informed that batteries were not allowed to ship to my country, so they’ll find another way to ship the battery when I order another complete Tool AA flashlight in the future (battery placed inside the flashlight and use a different shipping method)

Seeing this…

I have a question: Will they include the battery if I pay them the asked $8 for “free shipping·?
Therefore, I will wait to see what happens as some more packages arrive at their destination…

For now: Frozen funds.

PS. What happened with Lumintop ? Some problems arose and it has not appeared more …

Yesterday I paid the $8 for the free shipping.
I hope it is sent without any issue, especially that it comes with the battery.
I will report any news.

Can anyone confirm the color temp of the Nichia? I messaged customer service and an employee told me that it was the same one they used in the IYP series. I’m hoping it is, which would be 4000k. Anyone have one in hand?
