BLF Led sign

Was bored and started making me a sign for my light area, I used a 1/4 acrylic sheet and custom stand that holds 12v multi colored leds to change random colors

That looks sweet, LO! (But, uh… Forum*s*?)

I live not far from a Canton. Is this a Canton of the Illinois variety, or another one? I’ll be passing thru Canton, IL soon on my way to deer hunting just a few miles away.

I live near a “Canton” too, but I suspect it’s not the same one you’re near.

Idle hands are the devil’s workshop. Keep getting bored like this and you’re designing the next blf light

never fear shadows…it means a light shines nearby

I like your design a lot .
It is reminiscent of one of my favorite flashlight profiles , the Mag 2C .

What format(s) and resolutions are your originals in?

If this does wind up in production somewhere / somewhen, working from vector art (or at least an amusingly high res layered original) will make things flow much better and result in better…, um, results? Grad

I’ll openly admit to being a minor snob in this realm. Layered .ai, .psd or for low-budgets like me, .odg are the gold standards.

That said….
Something lossless like PNG is perfectly fine.
Better if you can incorporate transparency from the beginning. Smile

As a general guideline, think of the biggest application you can for the final graphic, then make it no less than 4 times bigger. Little mistakes and oddities can get hidden when you scale an image down. They get magnified when you scale it up.

What file formats can you import and turn into 3d models?

That’s actually pretty cool. Just need to remove the extra “s” at the end. The text seems a bit stretched as well.

SVG version with consistent metrics (not sure if it looks better, but all widths and spacings are identical).

I’m not familiar with svg files, I obviously googled it and it says it should open with corel paintshop pro, but it won’t.
I have photoshop elements, that won’t open it either. Finally it opened in GIMP.
Thank you Smile
Did it take long to do? If it didn’t could I be extremely cheeky and ask you to do this one as well? link Beer

SVG is the de facto standard for vector graphics that is most often used in the web for scalable graphics, for publishing, printing and laser cutters. All professional programs should be able to work with it. I use Inkscape, but you can view it with a web browser.

Didn’t take that long, maybe 15 minutes. Tomorrow I will have a look at your other version and play with the metrics a little bit as well.

This logo would also look good on BLF flashlights or boxes

I also thought about a PCB with that logo on one side and other with name and so on like a business card
