Dead SolarForce X3 - dropin replacement?

Hi Guys,
I have several SolarForce X3 EDCs which after a few years banging on keychains and dropping on sidewalks stopped working.
Since SolarForce are no more  , is there a compatible dropin module i can use to revive them? I have no idea where to start looking (and iā€™m not gonna waste time trying to mod and solder these tiny modules since I donā€™t have the skill).
Such a shame these break, all my AA sized SolarForces still run strong with excellent build quality. Of course the bigger ones donā€™t get dropped with my keys all the timeā€¦

Are any of them actually ā€œdrop-inā€? I thought most AAA lights pretty much were press-fit and used other tricks to make them anything but drop-ins.

If you can get yours out, you might find (or ask here for diameters, etc.) a comparable AAA light whose UI, etc., you donā€™t hate, and do a transplant.

Otherwise, I saw an X3 on FleaBay for 24buxā€¦

Thatā€™s a good question. The reflector/lens assembly does separate easily, leaving the driver/led assembly pressed and/or glued to the copper pill and thread. I have no idea if there is any sort of standard for these parts or if these are all custom designed.
I really like their look and sturdy feel, would be perfect with a modern led.
For 24$ however, iā€™d rather buy 2 Sofirn C01s and still have change for breakfastā€¦

I have a dead X2. I canā€™t unscrew itā€™s pill out. I have never tried using heat, though.

I don't know how to revive them. The bigger ones donā€™t get dropped with my keys...
