Solarforce L2P 5000-6000ma max?

Hi. I have a KDLITKER P6-TRI TRIPLE CREE XP-L HI 2000 LUMENS 3V - 9V 6-MODE P60 DROP-IN MODULE (DIA. 26.5MM) arriving. Will my Solarforce L2P with stock forward clicky tailcap be able to run this drop in with no issues? The Drop in’s indicated output current is 5000-6000ma max.

Here’s the link.

Thanks.

Will be fine.

Nice light, but it is a drop-in, so won’t have the best heat-path vs an integrated light.

If you went crazy with it and wrapped the pill with Cu foil to fill the gap, etc., it should handle it for at least a short while.

Thanks for the replies. What is the maximum current the stock l2p forward clicky tailcap can handle? If I use a high current draw dropin than the tailcaps rated capacity will it fry the tailcap internals or just the dropins output will only be limited and tailcap will be ok?

I have a couple of the dropins, they do not draw 5 amps on a single cell! Foil tape never hurts since it likely will not be a tight fit.

Noted on this, hope I can find copper wrap im in manila now, if not will try aluminum wrap. Thanks

Thin strips of a pop can work well in a pinch. Bonus… scissors will cut it.

Thanks. So is it safe for me to assume that the stock l2p tailcap can handle high amp draw/high output dropins, no need to upgrade to a mcclicky or similar mod?

With that draw it will be fine. I usually upgrade springs or go to double springs or do a bypass.

Thanks will also consider those upgrades
