A on-line friend of mine recently purchased a JobSmart 1800 Lumens Rechargeable Flashlight from Tractor Supply. He loves it and I was considering one for myself. Has anyone any experience with these? Seems like a big bang for the buck and I was wondering it it's worth it in the long run. It comes with batteries and a charger. I know nothing about Li-Ion battery lights. Here's the specs:
1 XH-P 50 20W CREE LED bulb.

2 rechargeable 2600mAh Li-ion batteries
Aluminum body

Doesn’t look bad, especially for the price but I think the charger is probably a little sketchy. I’d recommend a FT03 XHP 50.2 instead. You can get one for less than $35 when using a coupon, without a battery. It has more output and usb c charging.
Thanks for the reply. That's a nice unit too. Pardon my ignorance, but I assume that light has a built-in charger? Also, and again pardon my ignorance, the only thing I own with a USB port is my computer. Where would I plug it in?
Maybe I should stick with what I know and have. I use a lot of NiMH batteries and have decent chargers for them. I know nothing about lithium-ion batteries.
You would have to buy a battery for it separately. I would also consider the SP36S on amazon. It should have a longer battery life but doesn’t shine as far. You can also buy it with batteries included.
They both have USB C ports which you can plug into a wall outlet with an adapter just like a phone.
First off, Welcome the almighty BLF !!,
hope your stay here is a long one.
I say try out the Tractor supply one you listed, they will return it if you do not like it.
Then venture into buying something different/better from over the pond.
Got one of their Job Smart single cell XM-L2 lights about 4 years ago and still use it, sits on top the fridge near the back door, single mode great beam. It was set up for 3 AAA’s but it takes an 18650 inside of an 26650 adapter no problem so that’s what it gets.
