Been reading here for a while, thank you all for the information provided here.
Today I own Nitecore SC4, but since my father asked for Nimh charger I’m thinking giving him the SC4 and buy a more “advanced” one for myself.
My main charge is Eneloops (AA,AAA) for my boy toys, however I have some 30Q for flashlights, 14500 for smaller flashlights and maybe some more in the future.
I’ve read about this following chargers, but I can’t decide:
Lii-500s - No review from HKJ, reports of undercharge for NiMh, no 300ma charge (I think its needed for NiMh AAA right ), can’t fir 21700 protected (not that I have them)
Miboxer New C4-12 - No review from HKJ, no discharge capabilities (why I need it btw), more expensive then Lii-500s, Bulky external power supply
Opus bt c3100 - very old, bulky and I don’t know what else, but I hate buying old things
I’d appreciate help deciding here, I’m leaning toward Lii-500s, but can’t decide.
Sounds like you need a stand alone NiMH charger separate from your li-ion charger. No li charger that I’ve seen has as good of NiMH charging / termination as my old IQ-328… I tried to replace it with an all in one, tried several, ended up with a lii-500 and busting the 328 back out!
When I need to charge onesies, I just toss it into my LKwhatever, the 1-bay LK charger.
My old i4 does NiMH, too, but when I need a 4-bay charger, my Ope is the usual go-to. And I have an almighty Miboxer, Zanflare, etc., too, but it’s usually the Ope whose box stays out for “convenient” access. (Whereas I used to carry the LK in my bag.)
So, for me, the Ope does most everything I need, even though it buzzes like an angry bumblebee once the fan gets going.
IDK, i have a littokala engineer charger, its display is fading, it had some manufacturing defects and design problems.
It works, but still.
Workmanship not very impressive.
I also have a nimh nicad charger from lacrosse
t works ok but a couple buttons have quit working and now i cannot change charge current
and the display is dimming
not impressive lacrosse charger
I like super compact USB powered chargers, and since I often charge only one battery at a time, I use the Olight Universal charger for both LiIon and NiMh
