Opus...take you time, I'll wait

My first Charge /Refresh for 2 18650(old battery). I started the process yesterday at 1 PM. Its now 1 PM the next day. Its still doing its thing. Is this the normal time for a Charge/Refresh??

Refresh is 3 full cycles:

charge
discharge
charge
discharge
charge
discharge
charge

so that’s 7 ups/downs total.

Say it’s a 3000mAH cell and 700mA current selected, so then each down is about 4rs, and each up maybe 5hrs (topping off is slower as current decreases and tapers off). So 9hrs × 3, plus 5hrs, is 32hrs.

Patience, grasshopper.

32 hrs! :disappointed: Actually one battery just finished but it shows 1530 mAh. The battery is rated for 2600mAh. Should I do another new Charge/refresh?

Won’t help. If old, if well-used, capacity just burns away. Could work fine in a low-stress light, though.

Yeah true I'll just keep it for something. I thought instead of polluting the earth, I'll keep it and try to revive it. Its a real old battery, maybe 7 years old. Oh well, at least it's a nice lime/green color.

Ah, an old UltraFire…
It’s probably still as good as it was, but you discovered the TRUE capacity of this cell.
