Olight I3T EOS: How to Get Rid of the Low Mode?

I’m looking for a 1 x AAA flashlight that has a momentary push switch on the tail. I only need 1 mode in which the luminous flux of about 200 lumens. I found the Olight I3T EOS online and it has high mode of 180 lumens. Does anyone know how to modify the driver to get rid of the low mode, which is 5 lumens?

I’m also open to other flashlights. I just haven’t been able to find any single mode high power 1 x AAA flashlights.

The Olight i3T is pretty sealed up and I haven’t seem any mods of this light to date (other than an emitter swap.)

FWIW, a 1-mode clicky AAA favorite on BLF is the BLF-348 with Nichia 219B. The original is no longer available but you might be able to find a clone.

Here are examples of copies using the XP-E emitter (throwy) on Amzn and another on eBy.

There’s one catch, the 180 lumen output cited in the sales info is with the light using 10440 lithium rechargeable cells, on an alkaline AAA’s the performance would be more like 50 lumens.

Good luck with your search.

Seeking the light.

Lol and here I am wishing it had a lower low mode; like under a lumen.

I’d be very happy with a Olight I3T EOS v2 with moonlight mode. Oh and maybe add 10440 support. Not asking for much. Big Smile

Oh snap! Only .1 lumen on low. Now we’re talking. Even stays super low (.3 lumen) with a 10440. Outstanding!

with all due respect, and imo

200 lumens from AAA is not realistic
and
modifying a driver to “get rid” of one of the modes is not realistic either

when I decided I wanted more than 100 lumens, I started looking at lights that use 16340.. bigger battery, bigger lumens

this link might help you fine tune some of your feature priorities (it is not all inclusive, but fun to play with)

Agreed. This Olight I3T EOS pushing around 180 lumens is about the closest I’ve seen out of a AAA light (non 10440 of course).
