FW3A lanyard ring, full review

The discount codes never worked so I payed more than 2 dollars, it is a thin (neccessarily or it will not fit) flimsy feeling piece of SS, all edges came sharp and this ring will damage your pants pockets and cut your lanyard cord. My idea of the value: 10 cents.

I smoothed all edges, in and out, with some fine sand paper and it works fine, and looks much better than the stock clip that sticks out when used with the 18350 tube. Oh well… :weary:

Yeah they are a bit rough, I got one.
I did cover mine on one side with gitd tape, but then changed my mind……
Unfortunately I snapped the little white o ring so now it constantly turns, I wonder if you can get those anywhere?

Thanks for the info djozz! I am still fan of the double clip that Neal has, but wanted to check how this one worked! I will probably stull get one or two from LT AliExpress shop and check their quality!

Thanks!

What a piece of… nicely smoothened by Djozz, stainless steel… :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m ogling a beautiful looking stainless steel FW3A (FW3S) at the moment, but i was wondering what the inner diameter of the battery tube is, without the inner sleeve.

I received some replacements from Calvin @ Illumn.com

The one I got has fairly sharp edges too, so I had to sand them down. But I’m finding it’s not thick enough. Despite a fully tightened tail cap, I can’t get it to hold in place—spins freely. Is there any good technique known to compensate for this?

19mm , but I’ve super bad shit eyes , so it could be .2 each way

here is a free way to do it

plus a super useful knot

Constrictor knot - Wikipediaen.wikipedia.org › wiki › Constrictor_knot
The constrictor knot is one of the most effective binding knots. Simple and secure, it is a harsh knot that can be difficult or impossible to untie once tightened. It is made similarly to a clove hitch but with one end passed under the other, forming an overhand knot under a riding turn.

^ Thanks, wle. Good to know! :+1:
