TN42 button issue?

Hi all, anyone have a TN42? Just got mine and love it but does the button have a timer or something? Seems like I have to press it deliberately for a full second instead of just a quick press like my catapult v6. Is that a safety feature or a bad button issue? Sometimes it will come on with quick presses sometimes not. Thanks

Could be a wonky switch. GTminis and -micros were known to sometimes have switches like that, which sometimes might not register doubleclicks, etc.

I don’t have a ’42, so can’t quite say.

Usually involves pressing exercises (eg, see if it acts up more when pressed on the left side of the button), to taking apart the light and sniffing around (eg, making sure the button’s seated properly), right on up to doing a switch-swap (desoldering’n’replacing).
