I’m looking for a headlamp to mod for the most throw I can get just by swapping in a Xp-l Hi or similar 3v led like sst-20 for max throw from a small package. Are the drivers in the A2 vs A2S any different aside from their different LEDs - Xp-g2 vs Xp-l domed? Am I just better off going for the Sofirn Sp40 or the similar convoy as a pure host? I know these small reflectors will never be real throwers, but what’s a good host to start with in this profile of headlamp that could get ~ 200m or more throw with a good 18650? Are there options from Thrunite/Acebeam that might be worth spending more and not having to mod? Thanks
