Recommend a light for a new female driver

I have a stepdaughter who is just starting to drive. I would like a key chain light for her in case of emergencies etc. Thinking about single AA or AAA format, compact size. Will need to be a lithium primary battery (she will never remember to recharge). Fairly simple UI, maybe 3 or 4 modes. Decent brightness and runtime on low.

Possibly a 2nd backup light to keep in her glove box?

TIA

Key chain: Lumintop Tool AAA
Glove box: Lumintop Tool AA 2.0

choose the Nichia option with a pink body

(amazon has the black body, but I avoid black flashlights because they are hard to find in the dark)

I agree, Olight i3E EOS (or the olight i1r 2) on the key chain and Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 in the glove box.

Walmart has a small and extremely light weight 9 LED flashlight in several colors that includes the 3 x AAA batteries and a lanyard for the grand sum of $1.00

Fits nicely in a purse, pocket, door well, center console or glove box.

Consider getting an inexpensive headlamp for the glovebox. Trying to hold a light while changing a tire is no fun. If you do choose a flashlight, look for a magnetic tail cap.

Manker still has the AAA E02H on clearance at $13. If you’re looking for “cheap and just good enough” the RayOVac/Energizer/EverReady ones at WalMart aren’t that bad.

+1 for the Olight i3E EOS. I’ve had one on my key ring for 4 years. It’s been dropped several times and gotten wet in a rainstorm. It’s bright enough at 90 lumens and has always worked first time every time.

I wouldn’t recommend the Walmart 3AAA lights for $1. They bought several to use as backup lights at work and all quickly broke. Not something you would want family members relying on.

girls luv em!!!

LOLz

I've had a dozen of the Walmart $1.00 lights for a few years and none have broken.

Very different handling when equipment is owned by a person or a company.
