Mateminco MT90, SST90.2 vs Astrolux FT03 90.2

Wondering if the Mateminco version has a better reflector / focus than the astrolux? It certainly is on the pricey side. This would be a great flashlight for me, being about the biggest light that is jacket pocketable comfortably if they can get a handle on the quality control issues.

I see Vinh has the Mateminco on his store and is getting very respectable numbers from them, so clearly it has a good reflector.

I would expect Vihns lights to be well vetted but I wouldn’t want to be a Guinea pig buying from a china retailer given their track record.

With the Stock one he got 400kcd which is same as most people’s. MT90 mini is the exact same light under Mateminco’s branding. I contacted them a few days ago and they agreed that the reflector’s not the best. Don’t know how they planning on fixing it. I guess they’ll probably just start using the OLD one.

Wonder if anybody’s tried the sbt90.2 in one with the old reflector, and what kind of improvement youd get? Guess I’ll wait till they iron things out.

Sure do like that emitter… now we need a 2 1/4 to 2 1/2” headed light designed around it, one that the emitter will focus well in. Vinh says it doesn’t focus well in the noctigon k1. Shame.

Did they ever iron things out? Any clues as to how a MT90 mini might do against the Convoy L7 with SBT90.2?
