any MMA fans out there?? (UFC)

been a great night of fights tonight and i've been wondering if any of my BLF brothers are interested in MMA..UFC, strikeforce, pride, bellator..hopefully there's some interest..

One right here.

I used to be a chronic boxing fan, but the sport ain't what it used to be.

MMA took over.

nice man..you watching the FX 1? been some great stoppages and great fights...I agree with boxing not offering anything new..used to be a fan also...

He believes that the UFC’s most dominant champion of all time is ready to go down in the history books and call it a career at age 36.

So Sonnen is already making other plans if he wins at UFC on Fox 2.

“I think that (the UFC) is sincere. I think that they mean it. But I can tell you that behind the scenes, they’ve tried to put Anderson and me together four times and four times he said no,” Sonnen stated.

“I become the No. 1 contender and can get past Bisping, I’m gonna sit down with Dana and we’re going to have a talk about (Georges St-Pierre) or Jon Jones.

(great job by Miller tonight! Nobody relishes getting tagged by Guillard)

Great all-around .

i'm just about to start watching. I always wait for the cagepotato liveblog so I can skip the boring fights

I'm pulling hard for Condit tonight, but he is in for a very tough fight.

Anyone watching the fights tonight?

Yep I am..pulling for condit also..the prime time show was really good this time..

I've been watching MMA for over 3 years. Fighters all have their prime and fall, and IMO Anderson Silva, Fedor, and GSP are the all time great. (though I dont like to watch GSP's boring fights...)

not taking sides in that one - diaz is a jerk but I like watching him fight...

hopefully tonight is a lot better than the last event...i have little interests in fights that end w/ a decision

I agree that the main card on the last event wasn't the most exciting. I thought the Maia/Weidman fight was really bad.

OTOH, did you see Diaz's last fight? That one ended in a decision ... and it's just about considered an instant classic.

understatement! You better bring your A game against Diaz. How are going to beat him??? GSP would beat him, only outpoint him however. And you aren't going to stay away from him, he'll be all over you every minute. But GSP said it wouldn't surprise him to see Condit win . I like the article I read yesterday, the writer was talking about how the Diaz brothers are not bad guys.

Anyone see the last Noons vs Diaz fight?

The Diaz's are garbage people, plain and simple.

The multi-man jumping of Mayhem by Shields and the Diaz thugs showed the world what absolute trash they are as human beings.

I wanted GSP to thoroughly dismantle Diaz, but Condit will do nicely.....

grumblegrumblegrumble....

while I agree with your assessment of the brothers, you would not put a bet down on Condit here, not a large one anyway.

yes, that was a good one, and there are plenty of others, but 49 of 50 decisions weren't very exciting fights.

personally, i think they should drop judging all together and always fight to a finish. if they get so worn out that it is boring then have the ref call the fight a draw.

you'd get some fighters that would try to conserve energy and wear out their opponent, but most would take more risks

You are 100% correct. :)

You must really hate boxing

I have watched boxing about 10 times since tyson's last fight :)

although, I've watched "when we were kings" about 10 times, too

flashback:

James "Buster" Douglas (born April 7, 1960) is a former undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion who scored a stunning upset when he knocked out previously undefeated champion Mike Tyson on February 11, 1990 in Tokyo, Japan. At the time, Tyson was considered to be the best boxer in the world and one of the most feared heavyweight champions in history due to his utter domination of the division. The Mirage Casino in Las Vegas, the only Las Vegas casino to make odds on the fight, had Douglas as a 42 to 1 underdog for the fight.

Douglas held the title for eight months and two weeks, losing on October 25, 1990, to 28-year-old, 6-foot-2-inch, 208-pound Evander Holyfield, via third-round KO, in his only title defense.

been some great pre-lims so far..caceres with a 2 point deduction? i've never seen that!! herb dean changed the outcome of that fight..had it been 1 point it would have been different...poirier sub was sub of the night..amazing..
