Several of my buddies are using Laser Genetics ND3 for long range illumination of hogs (+/- 200 yards). I was wondering if there was an alternative that you guys could think of that would provide the throw distance of the ND3. Bonus if the light can be red or green but to be honest white works fine also.
I wanted a clone too but the complex optics system was not really very budget. The next best thing is:
Review: Uniquefire HS-801 - CREE R2, thrower single 18650 2 mode flashlight Or other similar but with a colored filter lens (make your own from colored cellophane and put it behind lens, otherwise install a green XR-E led)
You might try other color combinations, some fox/wolf (dont remmebe correctly) hunters here used red lenses.
Do not forget the manafont pressure switch. Fits the HS without an issue and you+ll get rid of the stupid resistor based 2 mode switch. (win/win scenario).
200 yards? Piece of cake. at least 300+ this one can do. :)
