but the flashlight wont turn on (flickering)
seems that le + side of the battery is not perfectly flat
second 16340 is being charged, I will test later
How do you switch mode ? thighten/loose like on oLight A3 or by thighten progressively ?

Sure looks like it could be the battery. Quick tighten then loosen changes modes. Good luck! Let us know what happens with the second battery.

Definitely a battery issue. The TF flames work well in that light.
