I was wonderring how they hook up the USB port to the internal chip?
I am guessing a ground, power, and 2-3 data lines maybe?
any info greatly appreciated.
Don't know anything about the chip but it should be 2 data lines (& ground, 5v power) .
MicroUSB & MiniUSB plugs do have a 5th pin but its either unconnected or used to detect proprietary usb cables. These proprietary usb cables often just have a resistor on the 5th pin. Motorola use to use them. The other end of a usb cable has only 4 pins so the 5th can't actually go anywhere.
