I just got the discounted and updated version u11 from Mankerlight.com
As many people know, the UI is different. As for the supplied instructions; forget it.
I’m hoping u11 users can chime in here (HELLO MANKER??), with info on the operation of the NEW VERSION.
For starters on my end. My bezel ring has no notches. However; no problem with twisting open on heel of my hand (possibly wasn’t tight). But I would expect the NV to be improved and HAVE the notches, instead of being smooth.
And…….a replacement USB boot/cover was not supplied; NOT good. Manker?
Also, I notice I only have 4 brightness levels. While the instructions say 5. Anyone know WTF?
And getting it OUT of lockout mode (using button), is a serious pain. So I just momentarily unscrew cap. I do notice though, if I haven’t toggled the Dragons Breath from showing while in lockout mode (off/on with momentary press), the button crap-dance actually works and does cancel the lockout.
Even the description of battery percentage colours, do not make sense.
Now, I’m even more confused. Because I have 4 brightness levels again (not incuding Turbo). I don’t know what I did.
Before, it just cycled 3 levels. Now, it’s 4. Actually, I did unscrew the tail cap. But that should not change anything. Ugh!
The lowest level is configurable, but on my light, getting that to work consistanly is difficult. I suspect you always had 4 levels plus turbo, but the lowest level was not enough current to illuminate the LED.
I had to set mine to 12 clicks to get the low level visible, and it’s much brighter than I want, but It won’t work reliably below the 12 click setting.
When I enter the low configuration setings, I don’t see any light for the first 11 clicks, I just found out with trial and error that 12 clicks gets me a working low level.
Manker is not a good manufacturer. I have 3 of their lights that are flakey.
There is no problem with the moonlight mode. I’ve set it to what I like and it works fine. But after I’ve charged the battery, the only way I get the normal 4 brightness modes back……is to momentarily unscrew the tailcap. Otherwise, it’s only 3.
And I was wondering about THEIR battery. Maybe it’s a low-draw piece of crap. The only 18650 I have. By the way, MANKER, I haven’t left a review of your light, yet.
