I’m going to get one (or both) and want to see which do you like and why (and yes, I know that’s a photo of the SP10A lol).

Thanks!

Voted for sofirn cause it comes in high cri and is cheaper. There’s also a BLF version being designed. My guess is that the lumintop should have better build quality though.

I have the SP10V2.0 and I love it. Fits easy in the pocket and I like the double click to high. The high CRI is nice. I don’t like the dull yellow colour of other lights.
I do not have a EDC05 to compare.

I have SP10S blue. It OK but switch feels not sturdy and cheap.

Lumintop EDC05 (XPL-HD neutral-white) vs Sofirn SP10S (Samsung LH351D) beamshots

I think LH351D beam looks a bit nicer, for me anyway, compared to the XPL-HD.

EDC05 has 2 color temperatures available: XPL-HD cool-white and XPL-HD neutral-white

SP10S is simpler to operate, 4 brightness levels, hidden strobe

EDC05 seems to have a couple of firmware:

 - the older batch are programmable (similar programming as the Manker E11 or UTorch UT01), wherein one can specify a brightness level for each of the 4 brightness levels, this makes it useful for people who want to have longer battery runtime, by choosing the brightness level they'd like to use for some scenarios.

- new newer batch of EDC05 seems to have lost this "programmability" function and now are fixed at just the 4 brightness levels (non-changeable),

The sp10s al day any day. The only thing missing is direct access to moon.
Will be solved when they bring out the sp10s blf anduril.

They make a deep carry/reversible clip for it now Thumbs Up

I bought my first blue sp10s an hour ago and already voted for it…
Why?Because the low price(half the price of the edc05),the high cri LH351D led and the availability of different body colours

I vote Sofirn, Although I prefer the look & feel of the Lumintop the Sofirn has a better LED and is cheaper.

My SP10S should arrive on May 2nd of this year. $19.95 Amazone
As of yet I have not ordered 14500 batteries but did consider the ability to change light output AA vs 14500.

I own both and prefer the EDC05.
In my opinion, although there are no defects in the SP10S, the price difference is justified.

I ordered a blue SP10S and really love the color. It’s a very nice matte finish. I’m impressed. The tint and beam is great as well.

I’m sure I’ll pick up an EDC05 eventually, especially if they offer a different emitter.

I really dig my SP10S despite the difficulty accessing moon mode. I’d waste some money on a second version with upgraded UI.

What if the EDC05 and SP10S would be at the same price? Would you be still choosing the Sofirn?

What makes better the Sofirn over the Lumintop?

Are there any details on the BLF version being designed? I’d be very interested in that. Is there an ETA?

Here is the thread talking about it. Don’t expect it anytime soon (if it even gets made to begin with).
