Problem with DrJones H17Fx driver (Maybe help from dr Jones???)

I recently installed DrJones H17Fx driver in triple (XPL-HI) that I bought from mountain electronics. The first problem that I noticed was that the battery checker which is 10 clicks for full with steps of 0.12 V, is actually stepped with 0.24 V increments.
I was wondering if this is due to a faulty chip or is just something else firmware related on the drive I bought.

Second problem came a few days later that I tried to test the PID. The light got 56 Celcius (132.8 F), when I decided to shut it down and lower the temperature threshold, which 60 by default.
The problem now is that the moonlight (the lowest one) started flickering and also became a lot dimmer. I tried another mcpcb with nichia 219c d320 and the same thing happened.

Does anyone has an idea, or is the driver doomed?

I do not know this driver so I can not help you, but DrJones himself was last seen on BLF almost 4 years ago, so I hope someone else can help you.

I’m not sure how responsive he is nowadays, but you could try asking Richard from Mountain Electronics, he will know his drivers well.

Or wait for a knowledgable BLF member to respond
