Banggood now charging over 10AUD for postage to Australia

It looks like free postage to Australia no longer offered by Banggood.

I selected CN as the Shipped from & the postage was over 10AUD.

I have 2 outstanding orders, from late Feb, that have not arrived. Looks like I will be tying to get a re-fund from them !

Well Good Bye Banggood

Everything, or just batteries?

I did not look at batteries. Just cables & car adaptors.
Maybe there are still some free shipping items - I dont know.

Australia probably has implemented changes to their postal rates agreement with China, after the last meeting of the Global Postal Union rate agreement last September. The US is upping rates from China starting 7/1/2020.
After the previous agreement, China was deemed a developing country, so their import rates have been languishing at pennies on the dollar for a long time, making it lopsided for the receiving countries who were paying a lot more for their internal delivery services then they were being paid by the shipping country. This all about small parcels, under 4.4lbs/2kg.

This makes sense except that at present Aliexpress dealers are still offerig Free Postage to Australia. Maybe this will change soon ?

Very strange, I selected USA as the shipping point for a few randon items & the postage was cheaper, under 3AUD, cost of item was a couple of dollars more.
Shipping at Banggood is a bit of a lottery.

Less companies at work right now so less shipping options. Maybe some provinces in China are only being serviced by local shipping companies now.
