Issue with edc 18

I have noticed that the ring around the button isn’t straight. Does anyone know how it’s put on?pressed in or screwed. Would like to fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I think it’s just pressed in.

Do you mean the ring around the lens? If so, it screws in. You just need something to press it against for friction and then twist.

Really?

A typical issue for Lumintop. The ring is pressed in.
For example, you can use a washer and tap it gently with a hammer.
Or put in a vice and tighten. Of course, with a washer on the button side and a piece of wood from the other side so as not to scratch the flashlight.

OH crap, that’s what I get for not reading closely. Sorry.

Awesome thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely be doing the washer and hammer thing.

Legend!

I’ve been lusting after the Lumintop EDC18 for awhile now. Hard to justify another flashlight acquisition in these unsettling times. Still……I think if I follow the tracking from Amazon, I should be able to sneak it in past the wife.

Why do you fan of this flashlight? Which led option did you choose? How much did it cost?

D’AVerk, I am guessing you’re asking me these questions. First off, I haven’t ordered it yet—still pondering about it. I’m looking at getting it from Lumintop Direct by way of Amazon. Looks like with coupon code, I could get it for about $40 plus tax. I suppose I could get it cheaper from China but I’ve gotten tired of waiting for stuff from China to save a couple bucks.
Buying this way doesn’t give me a choice of led—I’m guessing it will be cool white.
As to the why, I like small 18650 lights as an edc. I’ve had some Olights that worked out well. My current 24/7 edc is an OTR M6. Nice compact light that maxes at maybe 800 lumens. It’s been good to me. I have the Lumintop FW3A and its a fun light. The EDC18 should be similar and the lighted side button on would be really nice on the bed stand. The green button on my BLF Q8 is shining on me as I speak and I’ve liked the comfort of seeing where a light is at all times.
Last but most importantly, unlike the FW3A, the EDC18 has a reversible clip like my OTR M6. For me, no light is an edc if you can’t slip it on the bill of your cap to free up both hands instantly. I’ve grown so used to the excellent clips on the Olights and the OTR (which is an Olight clone),it’s almost a reflexive gesture to slip my light on my cap and carry on. I don’t even know I’m doing it
So, those are some of the reasons I want the EDC18. I think it would be a great addition.

The EDC 18 ti/cu is my favorite 18650. Looks great, feels nice in the hand, very reliable, and the lighted side button is the way to go. It is the Nichia 219C 4000K. But most of the time I use 26650 lights with the D4Svn W2 being my go to (along with a thrower). Sometimes the situation calls for the FF E07 21700. These have become the only lights I use -except for the LT1. They are not necessarily the most praised on BLF, but everyone has their own use and needs. For me they cover all bases and the only purchase I need might be another 26650 thrower. But there are plenty of other great choices out there so go for it!

When did they make a edc18 in ti/cu ?

Good catch. Actually it is the D4/Ti/Cu XPL Hi 5D, but I use the EDC 18 also. Both are wonderful lights.
