Scored an old PT Vortec headlamp recently because, well, I wanted to. Looking to replace the krypton bulb with an LED drop in and while I’m not after any real high output I would love to use something with a good CRI. Has anybody seen any PR drop ins using Nichia/SST20/LH351D emitters? Not sure how DIY-able that emitter swap would be, although I’m sure some would be conducive to non-destructive disassembly….
That’s the base used by most of the incandescent Maglites, right?

Oh I forgot about Adventure Sport! Yes mag uses a PR base but I’ll have to wait to look at how its retained in the headlamp- I believe PT used a different retainer instead of a threaded collar.
