Tactical Lights and Mounts

Looking for tactical friendly lights and mounts. I bought the Odin works mount and unfortunately my convoy S2+ is too small and the 21700 lights are too big. Seems like all these mounts want 1” diameter flashlight. Any suggestions on quality budget lights that are 1” diameter or mounts that will fit the Convoy 21700 lights? I’m open to any ideas. Just trying to keep these lights budget friendly but quality.

SF G2 or 6P with Malkoff or Lumens Factory drop in. Customlites is another good drop in. If you have any the Solarforce L2(M) is a good option. I have the Sofirn knock off version of a Streamlight Protac currently en route but its not here yet so I can’t speak to its quality (I’m sure its at least decent, though).

I’m not 100% on it, but I just compared my S2+ with my M1 and the latter seems thick enough to be mounted.

Armytek Partner C1 fits that mount. I have a mount very similar and it fits just great. Think Armytek has them on sale for just a tad over $30 right now. CW or WW. 18350, nice and compact.

I’ve found C8 builds with larger, thicker springs work well mounted in STANDARD 1” scope rings on my 6.8 SPC AR (on any rail long enough to stack the set onto it).

Sofirn C8a, C8t, C8f (18650 older version) and KDLitker C82 lights I’ve used— have all fit perfectly in 1” rings. Aluminum rings are lighter weight, cheap, and a pair used close together is what works best for me. I’ve also used a single ring with a longer base, but found I usually have issues with the heavier C8 builds which need the two rings to really lock it all down tight and manage any shock level the SPC might deliver.

My favorite hunting light is a factory C8F (old 18650 hosts) I built using xpl- hi leds which are direct driven by a VERY high drain 18650 (and switched using Lexel’s FET tail switch. Massive output for the 10 seconds or so I need for popping pigs!)

But as that host isn’t around now, I’d suggest the C8a or C8t with a driver from Lexel that can be put in a single (turbo) mode, AND his superb FET switch. You have ZERO loss on the switch wires using this FET SWITCH that uses a small lithium battery to manage the on/off function (so there are no current losses in the “round trip” through pressure switch wires— which are very thin!).

Many will say the C8t is the longer thrower, but I’ve found the C8a to throw about the same but have a larger spill which I prefer over the C8t. The KDLitker C82 uses a boost driver and xhp 50.2 led for a superb flood- good wide spot with lots of spill. But the throw isn’t as good as the others mentioned above. Yet, I found it very effective on pig hunts in Texas where shots average 25-75 yards at night from stands and off the jeep’s front window folded down while cruising at 2am with a cigar and a beer... “popping swine”.

You could line the mount with rubber band pieces or cut open a plastic film container to use as a shim.

Any good handgun mounted lights? Coupons? Thanks!
