Stopping with drinking coffee - you tried it?

I just finished the last bit of coffee 2 days ago.

My body is telling me that I need coffee. LOL.

It's 10Am in the Netherlands, and that usually means: Coffee time / Smoko (in Australia)

But not today.

You 'tried' to stop drinking coffee?

What did you feel?

I used to drink caffeinated tea all day long.

When I quit, withdrawal was pretty annoying for a while.

Now I sometimes drink caffeinated drinks, and I take caffeine pills when I want to be awake for a long time.

It's tough, and you may need to decrease your coffee gradually.

I don’t drink and I don’t smoke (anything). And I’m very active in not doing a lot of other things. But there is a limit to everything

So stay away from my strong black coffee. I already halved my daily intake to 6 mugs.

I drink very little coffee. What’s the benefit of completely stopping it?

Dealing with addictions can be troublesome, it involves interaction with negative entities or subtle energies beyond the physical, something which of course is felt like if it were our own this is pretty normal. I've dealt and beat a myriad of them already, tobacco and a multitude of other drugs being the main ones beaten. Addictions can also arise from places, people, activities (like buying) and etc. First of all you have to be sure that you want to completely do away with the addiction, if that is what you aim to, or what your goal is in case you just want balance or moderation.

If you trust yourself and believe in a higher power (which also is you), you can ask your higher power to keep you free from whatever addiction or you can promise that higher power that you will be free from the whatever addiction, or that you will never take or do whatever again, etc. This has to be done in a deeply relaxed but conscious state of mind (with a predominant theta brainwave), with faith or conviction, formulated in present tense like if it is done, and giving thanks at the end. Many stuff is written in this regard (programming and reprogramming of the mind). Correct formulation of the petition or command matters as it involves the mind-pattern you are requesting, and of course a minimum of patience and/or persistence for results to come. Coffee is not a very hard stuff to deal with, and so your short-term chances are quite high imho.

I went on to green teas - I don’t normally like fruit teas but I found some on ebay which were very exotic, and they are great. I still went back to coffee though, I just have the occasional tea.

I’m with Henk in this, no addictions worth mentioning (torch-building maybe) and I steer away from many things that are not good for this world. But I stick with my coffee, Lavazzo arabica espresso with milk and sugar in my case.

I have tried caffeine only a few times, going years in between single servings. My personality and energy are naturally elevated. I can be up when I want to, without it. I can get some sleep anytime, without it interfering.

I don’t find caffeine to be addictive. Maybe it varies by person.

I quit drinking coffee on July 20, 2015. I had on and off headaches[withdrawal!] for Three days.

Quit Drinking alcohol April 20, 1997,quit smoking December 31, 1997.

I am a specimen of health! lol!……In my 60’s

Now I am addicted to Torches! :+1:

No, thank you. I rather prefer to be without TP than without coffee.

Wow!! You rather have coffee than the ability and necessity of wiping your butt!

If I would live in Holland I would stop drinking coffe, but not coffe shop visiting for sure

Addictions are Never beaten. You are fooling yourself if you think so. I have know people who thought that and they are Dead!

We get a Daily reprieve based on our spiritual condition.

Have a nice day

I actually lowered my intake of coffee for a few months until it was none existent. Then I started again to get that caffeine boost to get work done. And that helped.

Coffee might be a small addictive substance, but it's interesting how your body 'wants' it.

I already stopped adding sugar to my coffee about 1-2 years ago? Can't really remember. Ju just don't like black coffee somehow. I like most of my stuff sweetened, so 1/5 of milk to the cup of coffee. Just regular milk

Can’t do it ……espresso forever!

I used to drink a lot of coffee. Like every 1-2hrs I would refill my 20+oz coffee cup. Eventually quit cold turkey no taper. Was a little groggy for a week with some mild headaches. These days I still avoid coffee but I drink 1-2 cups a mildly caffeinated tea (green tea or pomegranate tea) per day.

One time I tried to move over to green tea. Because I felt like my cup of coffee needed some kind of snack/cookie or chocolate to go with it. But that didn't help. Green tea actualy tastes pretty good with chocolate as well.

Now I drink black tea again.

When I was young I used to add milk and sugar to my tea, but these days just black.

i don’t drink coffee :cowboy_hat_face:
