What keychain should i choose considering this use?

Hi there, i was wondering… if i want a keychain, but i’m not gonna use a lot, only for specific moments, what kind of battery must it have?

With my little knowledge at the moment, i was looking for usb rechargeable battery, like a smartphone that eventually i have to connect to charge.

Considering i would have all the time the keychain with me, without using it for a long time, i don’t know if would be convenient choose a light with NiMh AAA/AA batteries.

Some people say is not too danger. I know there would be some discharge if i don’t use the light for a month… But how would be the level of danger choosing AAA/AA for what i want?

Some of the flashlights i was looking are these:

·Lumintop EDC01
·DQG Tiny AA
·Jetbeam JET U
·Klarius Mi6

Well, that’s nice to hear. At least i know i’m not doing something wrong.

HI

I would go for the DQG Tiny AA but in AAA format.

I have clicky version it’s small and great light.

I have an EDC01 and only use it sparingly. With an Eneloop i side, I can’t complain about it.

Mind you, it doesn’t have USB charging. You’ll need a separate charger, which can be USB fed.

I don’t like the few lumens gives the DQG AAA. I would prefer the AA option. Thanks!

I realised that maybe some lights have fewer lumens than other and they bright better than other. Could it be they have better LEDs?

Is the case that i was looking the Trustfire Mini 02 but someone show me a comparative between this light and the Olight i1r and seems the Olight is better, despite it has 130lm versus the 220lm from the Mini 02.

If you shop for lights and use output as a major factor it's like buying a car and just looking at horsepower .

if all you care about is brightness you'll only buy bad tints and low cri lights . Would be like choosing a girlfriend solely based on her breast size.

The DQG AAA is a great keychain light ..just like a Lumintop tool is still a supurb AAA light . maybe a bit long for a keychain light .

Yes yes you’re right, i realised that slowly i’ve been learning. At the moment and considering my preferences like clip, size and a 20-30 lumen mid mode the best options i found are this: Jetbeam Jet U and the DQG Tiny AA. Are they good options?

Both are good quality lights not to sure how low is the low mode.

I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the Nitecore TIP (CRI version for me). Has a clip, is USB rechargeable and has a battery level gauge. Sometimes mine rides the keychain for a month or 2 without use yet still retains the same battery level.

However, it seems you are interested in AA or AAA. TIP has Li-ion built-in.

I guess you had them on the list and then retrieved them, but I’ve been a fan an user of the RovyVon Aurora lights.
That’s what I use on my keychain, that’s what I use as neck light (Aurora A5R and A8U).
I believe that the most recent versions have some things improved, namely regarding the PWM that was fairly visible in the firts versions.

The biggest “disadvantage” that you may have with these or other rechargeable lights is if you don’t have a source power with you. But you can also run out of batteries, so…

I also believe that you may take a look at the Olight i3E EOS.
