As far as clickies go, the Tool AA is pretty small. If you get the magnetic tailcap for twisty operation it’s even shorter. I don’t own one, but I think the Jetbeam JET-I MK is pretty small.

I collected a bunch of info on the good AA lights that were under $20USD. The tool AA from lumintop was the smallest I think. But if you increase the budget there may be more out there.

Smaller in OD, should have specified. There are others that are shorter than the lumintop but it was narrow which was more important for me. I was pretty much just trying to match the size of my d10. I stopped when I went 16340 size and got an ex11.
I have the Klarus Mi7 and ThruNite T10 II, both are quite small and powerful.
Not sure how they compare to the others in size.

The smallest AA I’ve got is an L3 Illumination L10. I tried to pocket EDC it for a while, but just didn’t get on with the size. I went back to AAA. While the mAh is less, I find an AA lasts long enough for my needs. I don’t mind the tradeoff for a much, much smaller form factor. My choice of late is a Jetbeam Jet-U. And when I need more light with me, I just jump up to 18650. Given the form factor you get with a Lumintop FW3A or Zebralight SC64, it’s fantastic for the power of an 18650.

The Tool AA is a mm longer than the DQG Slim Ti, which is even bigger than the DQG AA Tiny, that is measured on 67mm .
That is probably the smallest AA light you’ll have!
(BTW, the Tool 25 head has the same size as the Tool AA v2.0, so for the measuring purpose it worths the same)
Yes, DQG is the smallest.
There was also a clone from another brand, about the same size, but I can’t recall who made it. Anyway it’s unavailable now.

I have the lumitop tool aa but i have only the push button switch. Soon as i get payed im going to get the flat bottom
