I just got one like that from Nealsgadget site. What software is it using? it looks like Bistro but it is not letting me get past the mode 1 ( for muggle). I am trying to set it up. The memory doesnt work right now and the voltage always shows 3.3 v no matter the actual battery voltage. does anyone know how to set it up?

I don’t know what version of Bistro that light has but, there should be a toggle for muggle on and off. It’s not a mode set you choose. At least it isn’t on the versions I have. You can’t program anything else until you get out of muggle mode.
Any “factory reset” to clear all the junque?

Thank you. I can get in and out of muggle mode ( 4 lumen levels) vs 7 levels. And I was just able to set the memory to On. Nothing else seems to be customizable. When I half click like 14 times the light enters the configuration mode where it give me 2 quick blinks , a pause, and another 2 quick blinks And then just returns to steady on ( seems to be out of the config. Mode at that point). If I Click ( turn it off) during the first 2 blinks I toggle in and out of muggle mode. If I click( turn light off) during the 2nd 2 blinks I toggle memory on ot off. I can’t figure out how to set up anything else….
The thing is a monster though… I can see it throws further than my sofirn c8g and fireflies e01 w/Osram and even seems to be rivaling the Astrolux ft03s with sbt 90.2! But hard to tell in the room. Waiting for it to get dark so I can check outside
Problem is I can’t get to 8 blinks. When I enter configuration mode all it gives me is option 1 ( first 2 blinks) or option 2 ( 2nd 2 blinks) if I do nothing it just goes out of configuration mode, never gets to option 8….
I’ve never been able to do anything by way of programming with it. But yes, it will pretty much out-throw anything. Amazing.
Yep. Of course I can see it’s weaker than ft03s with sbt 90.2 and of course the hot spot is much smaller but for the size it’s great. I’ve also ordered an emisar KR1 but of course that will be too small to rival c8. I think I will end up keeping the c8 And the emisar and will be giving up the sofirn c8g and fireflies e01. Jury is still out of the ft03s…
Wellp, I went to the NG page for that critter, and for “Mode:” is says to “see the 1st pic below”, but that pic is a black one and brown one side-by-side.
Either it’s a weirdo UI flashed into it, or it’s munged.
I’d suggest emailing NG for clarification, but…

Took the c8+ for a spin tonight. Needless to say it easily outtthrew sofirn c8g and astrolux e01 w/Osram. The beam is very thin though which makes it kinda impractical as a flashlight but it’s so much fun nonetheless. The light spends gives off about 1,300 lumens on a full battery, it actually eats up the battery faster than I expected
Ft03s throws noticeably further though which was to be expected from a reflector twice as big.
I figured out the voltage issue, it’s not broken. I thought the 3 blinks , pause, 3 blinks. Etc meant 3.3 volts. Turns out 3 blinks means battery close to full , 2 blinks when half spent, 1 blink when low…

Thanks. Actually I’ve realized that the C8+ with 50.2 emitter which Nealsgadgets sell have the description of the UI there and it’s exactly what I have here too - only lets you change from 4 to 7 levels and turn on/off the memory. Reminds me of the UI for Convoy S21A I bought several months back
