Test/review of Hohm 18650 Life4 3015mAh (Black-white)

Hohm 18650 Life4 3015mAh (Black-white)

Official specifications:

  • Capacity: 3015mAh

  • Max Charge Rate: 4.43A

  • Max Charge Voltage: 4.2V

  • Continuous Discharge Rate: 22.1A

  • Max 80oC | 3.2V cut-off: 31.5A

  • Pulse | Peak6: 37.1A

  • Cycle Life Retention: 500 @ 70, 1000 @ 60

  • Chemistry Type: QSP Li-NMC

This is a fairly high capacity and high current cell.

Oops, the two batteries do not match in capacity, this means never use them in series. One of the cells is significantly below rated capacity.

Conclusion

I am not happy about the difference in capacity between the batteries and the very precise capacity rating do not really match the batteries.

Thank you HKJ .

I have four batteries from this company.
I have two 18650 and two 21700.

The 21700 Hohm RUN 3023mAh are good batteries.
It’s not the same as the Samsung 30T, but it’s good.

The 18650 Hohm STRETCH 2856mAh …… they never worked ……….
The batteries had 0.20 and 0.11 Volts.
I tried to charge the batteries with the Turnigy Reactor 300W 20A and the MiBoxer C4-12.
The batteries were not charged.
The batteries were sent by the Hohmtech .

Thanks, HKJ!

I agree with your summary and wouldn’t buy these for myself. A quick check showed them priced higher at the time of this post than better Sony and Samsung cells. The inconsistency within such a small sample suggests poor manufacturing.

Thanks HKJ!
