Looking for: 5 mode single 14500 zoomie?!

I'm looking for a 5 mode (or 3 mode but has to be High, Med, Low) zoomie, Sipik SK68 style. Needs to run on a single 14500 battery. Would like a very low "low" like 10 lumens or less.

Anything?

that i would buy, but i haven't ever come across anything like it.

Could be hard to find.

Most zoomies don't have very low lows. They are either single mode, or 3 mode with 100% / 50% / strobe.

The only cheap zoomie I've seen with a low low is the EDI-T T11, which has 100% / 50% / strobe, and also a ramping infinitely variable setup. Using the ramping setup it's possible to set the light to a very low setting. Uses fairly slow PWM though.

buy/use the sk68 and a new driver if you have soldering ability

Sry, I don't know budget light that fit your needs

Don't think that animal exists. Would sell like hotcakes if it did, though.

I thought I had the perfect solution. Keygos M12! 5 mode zoomie with SUPER wide flood, 26650 battery. Won it for $21 shipped on ebay, with two Keygos 4800MAh 26650 batteries and a dual charger for them. Well, I got my new in sealed package Keygos M12 today but WTF?! There's fingerprints all over the inside of the glass and all over the reflector!!! WTF!? :( Also, the zoom is loose as hell, just pointing it at the ground makes it zoom in :(

LICK FOR HIGH RES!

I'm trying to figure out how to get it apart so I can clean the glass and swap the o-ring with something thicker to stiffen up the zoom.

On a happier note I got my charging station all set up :) Just waiting for my mini volt meters to attach to each charger and it's complete :)

I licked the pics for hi-res but they stayed the same and were harder to make out details with the saliva on my screen.

Still sounds like a good deal for the batteries and charger with the light. Maybe an o-ring in the slide mechanism will tighten it up. Looking forward to hearing how it performs.

Thanks  I was able to use the “elastic band trick” to get the bezel ring off. Ummm, it’s not even really a reflector in there? lol. Just flat polished metal. It’s not very flat, has a few dents in it and is covered in dirt and fingerprints :frowning: lol?

LICK FOR HIGH RES!

I used some needle nose pliers to unscrew the pill. No wonder the zoom is loose, no o-ring to be found!!

LICK FOR HIGH RES!

Cleaned the reflector surface with 99% rubbing alcohol and a qtip and man, the qtip was BLACK when I was done! It came out absolutely flawless, other than the few dents, which I'm afraid might cause artifacts :( So I'ma paint it flat black anyway :)

Paint is dry :)

Went to Home Depot and got a $1.53 o-ring kit and it had the perfect one in it! Super tight fit, had to use my vice to "press" the head on!!! Nice and stiff to slide, but slides like butter, nice and smooth, no grit no noise! I'm loving this thing now!!! Will try and post a beamshot in a bit to show how the beam looks with the reflector painted :)

Got her all put back together, super duper clean, cleaned all the threads too and re-lubed them with my favourite grease, just waiting on the battery to charge for a beamshot :)

LICK FOR HIGH RES!

I don't really like the silver "ring" visible in the above pic, so I took her all back apart and am painting the entire front of the pill.

The entire pill face re-painted:

All re-assembled. OMG love the look now! Super stealthy, can't see anything in there except the LED in the middle! WOOT! Looks so amazing :) Love it.

LICK FOR HIGH RES!

Here are some beam shots. It was tricky to photograph, it was my first time so I apologize. I absolutely LOVE the beam quality now! Flawless, perfect brightness throughout, nice sharp cut off, absolutely no artifacts! WOOT!!! I can't get over how bright it is, even when zoomed all the way out!!! Blows away every other flashlight I've got! Makes the SC600w look weak!

The weather is terrible out right now, so I wasn't able to get any outdoor beam shots :(

This might be a really dumb question, but this flashlight is 5 mode. I thought it's supposed to remember what level you had it on last time, and turn back on in that mode? And I thought it was "double click" to change modes, not just turn off, turn on, etc. Like I always want it on High, I don't want to cycle back through the other four every time I turn it on to get back to high :(
