My apologies for not reacting more quickly to an issue that was causing major performance issues for our site since yesterday (23-May) around noon GMT. This was an external issue, and I put in place a workaround. Please use this thread to discuss this particular issue, and I’ll be vigilant throughout the day to see how it goes.

Was blaming Chrome as Firefox did seem to load tabs better but other sites were zippdy do.
Glad to have the speed back.

I was having slowness problems with BLF last night and eventually just gave up. Good to know that it wasn’t just me and the issue has been resolved. Seems to be working great now.

Was having frequent “gateway timeout” error messages when accessing BLF forum about a couple of days ago but so far haven’t today. Thanks for advising us of the update.
I was indeed having some trouble where speed went to almost zero.
Thought it was me, or myself, or I. The only thing my wife agrees on.
But now it’s up again and running like Montezuma’s revenge.
Either BLF has been slow (at times) in the last fifteen minutes, or my internet is acting up again.
No, I just mailed SB, it’s not just you guys.
It started like this last time, slow logging in, then all hangy when changing pages, commenting etc.
Thanks guys for letting me know. Again it was an external issue, and another workaround has been put into place.
