Announcement

Thread removed at Lumintop’s request.

So Fasttech sells Lumintop products at low, low prices?

Thanks for the heads up!

Yes, I see some good prices there

(I could feel for Lumintop if everything was known about how the manufacturing and selling market in China works, so one could judge what is going on and an opinion can be formed on who is right and who is wrong. But even then only few customers will not go for the cheaper option, especially since internet buying is usually anonymous. So in the meantime the announcement above, if at all a fair point is made, is a bit fruitless)

Thanks for letting us know.

Assuming Fasttech products are not counterfeits, does anyone have a coupon code on there?

Years ago, BLF gave you 8% off.

About FT: A friend ordered face masks for a premium and with DHL express. FT sent a tracking number and a picture of the parcel. Two or three weeks later (3-5 days delivery time were promised), FT wanted another $18 for shipping. She paid. Another two weeks later the mask haven’t arrived, PayPal case opened. Another week later: The masks eventually arrived, and they had a smell to it that really noone could wear them. They went immediately into the bin. Nearly 100 EUR down.

Never again FastTech. Absolutely never.

But they write “Authentic”! Must be true :person_facepalming:

Isn't it rather childish to say that because a website sells your products at a low price, you, the manufacturer, will not provide a warranty to the buyer?

How is any of that the buyer's fault, and why should they suffer the loss?

Talk about building "badwill".

Boycotting Fasttech since 2016. I wouldn’t order any flashlight from there.

I think the point they’re making is that if the products are fakes or counterfeit then they aren’t to be expected to provide a warranty. Obviously, I can’t speak to the accuracy of their claim. I’ve never bought from fasttech.

I highly doubt Fasttech is selling fake or counterfeit Lumintop products.

Lumintop is only bringing that up to muddy the waters.

You've gotta be able to read between the lines to see what Lumintop is trying to pull here.

thanks for the code. I think I will try BLF on a variety of shops going forward, there are quite a few banners I see on the forum.

I looked at the pictures, they “look” authentic. It would cost a decent amount to fake products to this level of quality.

well i can see how they do so that if any buyer bought without knowing and ended up with a fake light for example, then lumintop cant honor warranty on such lights. Its bad either way from fasttechs side as this most will affect customers that dont know better…

but looking their prices i dont see anything weird though? lumintop gt mini listed for 38$ ? isnt what this light costs usually ?

LUMINTOP FW21 Pro for 56$…… again i dont see anything low compared to mad max deals?

So because they can sell your products at a reduced rate you are pulling support to anyone who purchases from FT.

Maybe if you lowered your prices people wouldn’t go to FT in the first place.

Regardless of where they are purchased they are still your product and if legit you should still offer after sales support.

Lumintop isn’t doing anything out of the ordinary here.

Many (actually most) companies require sellers to abide by certain rules to be authorized dealers, including maintaining a certain minimum stock and selling at a certain price. Usually for a consumer to get warranty service they will need to provide a proof of purchase from an authorized dealer.

I don’t necessarily agree with the practice, but it is the standard way of doing business.

Very nicely said!

(This is kinda what I was getting at.)

Sorry, but the manufacturer is not (always) to blame.
Suppose you buy goods from a seller.
This is what happens: you get the goods, seller gets the money.
So, if the goods are not okay => you grab the seller by the pony.

When you address the manufacturer: the seller laughs all the way to the bank.
IF the manufacturer wants to step in: that is a matter of pure good will.
Because the manufacturer already made his deal with the seller (goods <=> money).
Even more if it is a fake: the seller and the fake manufacturer are LOL.
And the real manufacturer who has nothing that links him to the goods, takes the wrap?
He should step in, according to you?

You are NOT always responsible if something goes wrong with a product that bears your name.

By the way: why am I thinking about a kettle and a pot?

still i didnt see a lumintop light for “unusual and unreasonable prices” did anyone find anything weird ?

if fasttech gets their product from a authorized dealer or how they get the stuff then its legit 100%…

BTW, has anyone ever seen a counterfeit Lumi-light?

Like I said before, and I'll repeat it for you as many times as it takes:

I highly doubt Fasttech is selling fake or counterfeit Lumintop products.

Lumintop is only bringing that up to muddy the waters.

You've gotta be able to read between the lines to see what Lumintop is trying to pull here.

I'm just trying to expose what is really happening here.

If you don't like the truth, don't be upset with me.

(I'm just the messenger.)

You're not the only one i think, but what is the reason for boycott?
