I must have somehow reversed polarity of one of the batteries in the carrier. It immediately turned one coil bright orange and got way hot. I’ve taken the carrier apart and all I can find is two contact springs are no longer hardened enough to hold their shape under the pressure of the battery.
I can’t find a replacement carrier nor am I ingenious enough to figure out what springs to buy to replace the two shot ones. Can anyone point me in either direction?
