This is a protected 16650 LiIon battery










The two cells match nicely, but the capacity is nowhere near the rated 2500mAh, the cells are also very hard pressed at 5A load.
The missing capacity is due to it being a 4.35V cell used at 4.2V.





















Conclusion

This cell is a fairly good 16650 protected cell, but do not expect the rated capacity.

Well, there are not much good cells in this format, and this seems to follow the way…unfortunately.
I just compared your graphs with the Sanyo UR16650ZTA 2500mAh (Magenta) and that one still takes the advantage! I picked 2 of those about a month ago and so far so good :+1:

Yes, there is a difference between protected and unprotected cells.
